HAKO@TUTA hosted her first guest in 2OI7. Big social and chill out spaces. It is located at Taman Ungku Tun Aminah, affectionately TUTA in short, where it has some of Johor Bahru’s most nostalgic street scenes. Hako means “box” in Japanese and we playfully connote that a hotel room is simply a “bed in a box”. Hako is minimalist yet warm, not overbearing yet incisive in responding to the needs of her guests. We proudly opened HAKO@AUSTIN in 2019 and HAKO XPRESS@SKUDAI BARU in 2020.
